Aberdeen Quays

A major civil engineering works which required realignment of the quay wall, this work was tidal working. The works required steel sheet piles driven down to rock, concrete slabs cast 4m down at low tide level, service trenches, cope beams and finished slabs.
A lot of organisation was required for the working of staff through the night which sometimes required men to work off rafts to facilitate working around the steel sheet piles.
